Todd McFarlane kicks off the new year by attending the 2015 Image Expo. Not only will he be in attendance, but he will be making some big announcements that will excite comic book fans.
As if 2015 wasn’t going to be a big enough year for Spawn, with the upcoming release of the biggest anniversary issue yet, there are a couple of HUGE announcements and reveals that McFarlane will be bringing to the sold-out Expo on January 8th.
New Comic Book Title
A new series from McFarlane is coming to the comic book world in 2015. Todd says, “It’s an idea that I’ve had for a while… and it’s finally coming to fruition.” The initial 8-issue miniseries is completely done. McFarlane will reveal the details of the new title at the Expo. McFarlane will give fans a sneak peak of the cover along with a five-page preview of the series during his panel.
New Spawn Writer Revealed!
After Spawn issue #250, a new writer will take over the Spawn series. The change will bring big things for upcoming Spawn issues. The new writer has written titles for Marvel and DC and has even won the very prestigious Eisner Award! McFarlane is thrilled to add him to the new Spawn creative team, and will reveal his name during his panel.

This panel will be a one-on-one conversation between McFarlane and the Image Expo’s panel moderator, David Brothers. McFarlane will answer a variety of questions ranging from the history of Image Comics, his career, details on Spawn, comic announcements and more.
The announcement of the new title and new Spawn writer will also be revealed. McFarlane might even show some never-before-seen Spawn #250 variant covers!

McFarlane will be signing a new, never-before-seen Spawn promotional poster that highlights Spawn over the years, leading up to his big #250 anniversary issue. The promotional poster will be will be limited to the first 200 people over the age of 13. In addition to the Spawn poster, attendees will be able to get one additional item signed by McFarlane for FREE. Limits 2 total items per person.
No photography and no sketches, please.
