The former star running back at Boise State, Martin was drafted in the first round of the 2012 NFL Draft and was immediately thrust into the starting running back spot for the Bucs. The “Muscle Hamster” paid dividends for the team, rushing for 1,454 yards (A Buccaneers rookie record) and accumulating nearly 500 yards receiving. He was a finalist for the 2012 NFL Rookie of the Year Award, and was also an alternate on the Pro Bowl. Though his 2013 season was cut short by injury, the future is definite bright for the tailback.
