Spawn Kills Everyone is FINALLY here… Well, almost!
On shelves August 17th, this issue is sure to become a fan favorite and in true McFarlane fashion, he doesn’t hold back. When Todd means Spawn kills EVERYONE…he means EVERYONE! No one or thing is safe.
After discovering JJ Kirby‘s (Marvel X Babies, Cartoon Network projects) art earlier this year, Todd collaborated with JJ to create a chibi (small) Spawn character who looks cute and innocent but is just as B@D@$$ as his “regular” sized version. Every and any superhero is on the chopping block and we can’t wait to show you what’s in store!
Spawn Kills Everyone takes place at a Comic Con, much like San Diego with it’s many cosplayers. Spawn heads out to Hall H to make a very important movie announcement, but ends up in a long line of costumed attendants. Thinking these people are the real characters, he kills his way to the front of the line.
This issue is a far deviation from the usual Spawn comics with quirky and entertaining dialogue written by Todd to go with the fun and wacky artwork by JJ. It’s humor and satire on pop culture references will make any geeky fan laugh out loud.
In addition to covers by both Todd McFarlane and JJ Kirby, Liana Hee (Nickelodeon’s Shimmer and Shine, Disney WonderGround Gallery), a newcomer to the comic book industry, lends her hand at the third variant cover done in gouache paint.
