The holidays are coming a little early for HALO 4 fans when McFarlane Toys releases the newest HALO 4 statue of the Master Chief next month on the McFarlane Toys online store. The upcoming highly detailed, hand-painted, cold-cast resin statue perfectly recreates the iconic cover art of HALO 4. This powerful scene depicts the Master Chief rising from the wreckage from Forward Unto Dawn, primed and ready to explore the strange, new, artificial world. The Master Chief statue features three interchangeable weapons: UNSC Assault Rifle, Covenant Energy Sword and the Forerunner Boltshot.
“There are three design criteria that I have for creating a statue,” says Todd McFarlane, McFarlane Toys founder. “It has to be cool as hell, be an exact replica of the character, and it has to have the scale and the magnitude that will make it a larger-than-life showpiece in your home. This HALO Master Chief Statue exceeds all those benchmarks for a high-end art piece.”
Today, McFarlane has announced fifty of those 1,000 statues will be the extremely limited “Unpainted Artist Proof” variants – primed with flat grey and ready for instant customization or display by collectors in its rarest form. Each ”Unpainted Artist Proof” variant with be numbered separately to reflect the limited production run of only 50 statues.
The limited edition HALO 4 Master Chief statue and the “Unpainted Artist Proof” variant will retail at $295 and will be available starting Friday, December 6, 2013, on the McFarlane Toys online store.
A limited quantity of statues will also be available in the US through Diamond Comic Distribution and internationally through Star Images, Cosmic Group, PBM Express, and IKON Collectibles. With only 1,000 pieces produced worldwide, this statue is sure to quickly sell-out!
