Roger Hayden was one of the Twenty—humans Brainiac bestowed psionic powers on. Hayden believed his Medusa Mask allowed him to control the virus. He escaped the H.I.V.E. Queen, who was draining the energies of the Twenty, and found Superman. Hayden informed him Brainiac would use the Twenty as hosts for the minds of people from his destroyed home planet. Hayden tried to drain Superman’s energy to free the Twenty, but Lois Lane defeated him.
