Wayback Wednesday with Spidey!

July 13, 2016

Back in 1989 Marvel Tales had been going strong for many years, mostly reprinting Spider-Man issues.

Anyways.. I was asked to recreate a cover from 1970 (that was even before MY time) for one of the most ICONIC Spider-Man issues…issue 90, ‘The Death of Captain Stacy’!!

This opportunity gave me a chance make the cover SEXY and put a different spin on it.

What was COOLER was being able to add MY name to the issue with the greats Stan Lee ,Gil Kane and Johnny Romita (YES..even I fanboy sometimes)!

Here are the two covers. The one on the left is the original and the one on the right, is done by yours truly.

Which cover is YOUR favorite?! (And I won’t be hurt if it’s not mine)

Be good.
