US Tracking numbers are on their way!

February 26, 2021

UNITED STATES TRACKING NUMBERS ARE ON THEIR WAY!
BUT I UNDERSTAND EVERYONE’S FRUSTRATION…THIS ISN’T HOW THINGS WERE SUPPOSED TO GO!

First off, as someone who also buys lots of items off the internet, I know how frustrating it can be to have to wait for some item you’ve not only ordered, but that you are anticipating at the same time. It can make a person show their inner anger more than they normally would.

Since this was my first Kickstarter experience, I made the mistake of trying to keep this figure away from my normal business dealings that I do with one of my other companies that produces action figures (McFarlane Toys).

With hindsight now on my side, and the testing of most all of your patience, I see that was not the wisest business move I’ve made. You see, my toy company has many contracts with shippers, customs folks in many countries, trucks ready to move containers and most importantly containers ready to load those McFarlane Toys items on a steady schedule.

By going outside that regular system, I fell prey, like many other giant companies to the supply/demand complications of the open market. Where on the McFarlane Toys front we have contracts with advanced bookings for everything, this Kickstarter had to scrum for those same resources like everyone else.

The best (silly) analogy I can give you is that McFarlane Toys has made its dinner reservations at a popular restaurant months in advance, whereas this Kickstarter project is the person who shows up to that same popular restaurant during the busiest time asking if there are any tables open (for their party of 23,000 backers). Lessons have been learned and I will apply those lessons on our next offering, for sure.

Now… onto the topic of this email. I have finally been informed that after much consternation and excuses, that thousands of boxes will be receiving their U.S. tracking numbers starting today or tomorrow! There were concerned over forgery items by Customs and we had to involve our banks and multiple companies to assure the good folks at the Customs office that these were indeed legitimate items that had been sanctioned and paid for (With my McFarlane Toys company all of that paperwork is already on file, since I did this through my comic book company we had to begin the whole process all over again).

This doesn’t not mean that all of you will get your tracking numbers at the same time, as their are over 17 containers in transit towards America, but what should begin to happen is that a steady stream of tracking numbers, over the coming weeks, will begin to be sent from here on out as all items to the U.S. were shipped out from Hong Kong awhile ago.

Knowing that there have been finished since the beginning of December that have yet to be delivered into the hands of many of you backers is an unacceptable result that I will not try to excuse. Yes, there was a pandemic and container shortage and backlog of ships in the ports, but even with those factors it should never have taken this long. I am just as frustrated at some of the promises given to me that were not kept, as it means I cannot then keep my promises to you.

My goal is to continue to push for these items to get delivered and to then figure out the proper way to reward your patience in our next Kickstarter offering. we are in the process of that. Lastly, for those of you living outside of America, I will soon be giving you your tracking number updates soon.
