Todd’s Tips Tuesday…Make the Art Your Own!!

September 27, 2016

Back when I was at Marvel I got a chance to work on The Incredible Hulk which was AWESOME for me as an artist starting out.

Anyways… when I began to draw him, I always envisioned the GRAY (yes…he was gray before he was GREEN) Hulk as a visual cross between Frankenstein’s monster and an elephant or rhino.

So when I was creating MY version of the Hulk, I gave him the Frankenstein haircut and brow and thought his skin should be chapped and dry.

When you are recreating a character that has been around for a LONG TIME (and for me… the Hulk had been around at least 20 years before I got to him), you NEED to make it YOUR OWN!

Be good.
