WHAT?! Did I just hear right?!? I get a lot of folks that say they ‘just don’t have time’ to draw, but if you REALLY want to break into comic books…YOU MAKE THE TIME!!
When I was in college, after I was done with baseball practice, my janitorial duties (yes…I cleaned toilets), AND doing my homework, I’d sit down and DRAW.
Any time I had a spare moment, I’d sit down and hone my skills as an artist. And since I only had a few hours here and there between all of my actives, it took longer than I’d like…BUT the point is…I DID IT.
And in the end…I was able to improve to where I felt comfortable to send in my submissions to Marvel and DC Comics (now my struggles GETTING a job is a post for another day).
So message of today is you ALWAYS have time to draw…even if it’s a few minutes. So DO IT.
