I can’t tell you how excited I am about this upcoming Spawn issue!!
When Erik turned in his pencils I thought…WOW…this is going to be one SEXY issue!! I had planned this issue to be a mostly silent one. I wanted to just show the sheer POWER of Spawn in Hell as he slashed EVERY demon in his way!!
Erik was the PERFECT artist to come on for this particular issue. When we were discussing how it was going to be drawn, he asked what I wanted from him. I told him I want CLASSIC Erik!! I wanted him to come up with some COOL demons for Spawn to slaughter and he didn’t disappoint!!
AND on one of the pages (you’ll have to read it to find out), look for Savage Dragon character who was killed off. I guess we know where THAT character ended up?! Maybe I’ll do a fun giveaway soon and for you good people who have stopped by my blog, you’ll get a head start at finding out which character from Savage Dragon it is!!
Also, on some pages it’s a ‘Where’s Waldo’ of demons. In fact, I think we should do a ‘Where’s Spawn’ poster of all of Erik’s demons and HIDE some Spawn charac ters for you good people to find……what do you think??
Anyways…I look forward to working with Erik on upcoming issues and can’t wait to see what’s next!
