2021 will be a big year for Spawn and his world, we will soon be announcing some big plans coming out this year. But I wanted to start this year by reaching back into our vault and showing you all 3 steps in putting together a Spawn comic cover.
First, is the lush ORIGINAL PENCILS version from comic legend Greg Capullo. Rarely do we get to see the original pencils of any comic covers. This piece will show off just how detailed Capullo’s pencils truly are.
(** This version will be a hard to find 1 in 50 variant cover sent to retailers who order at least 50 copies of the regular book.)
Then, there will be a BLACK & WHITE version of the art re-inked by myself. Danny Miki did a wonderful job of this piece years ago, but I never had the chance to get my hands into the process until now.
(** This will be part of the FREE retailer over ship books that I’ve been sending out to shops during the pandemic.)
And then last, there will be the regular COLORED edition that will be re-colored by the spectacular colorist FCO Placencia.
I’m going to be include some of these remastered cover version throughout the upcoming year as well as NEW COVER ART by the great Greg Capullo and myself!
