Motivational Monday…Getting Rejected.

It’s been a while since I’ve put this up, but I’ve had some questions and comments here on Facebook about getting into the comic book industry.
(and as I’ve said before…YES, I DO read your comments).
 
Being in ANY industry means a level of rejection. While it sucks, it’s part of process. It only takes ONE person to say yes to get the job you want.
 
I sent in around 700 sample submissions and got about 350 rejections before I got someone to say YES!!
 
It’s kinda funny the Marvel envelopes and letterhead had Spider-Man on them, because in a few short years after getting some of those rejections, I was DRAWING the Spidey comic itself.

So don’t get discouraged if you don’t get what you want out of life on your very first try.
Sometimes it makes you STRONGER mentally to have to ‘earn’ your way to whatever goal you set for yourself.
