Looking Back to See How Far I’ve Come!

April 21, 2017

I know a lot of you are used to seeing art from my Marvel Spider-Man days and of course on Spawn, but even I had to start somewhere!

Looking back at this cover of DC Comics Infinity Inc. I see A LOT of things I could’ve improved on…but back then, I was still pretty green.

The biggest thing I see is there’s NO movement. All the characters are standing in ONE line and it’s not interesting. There isn’t any variation. They are exactly the SAME SIZE.

I think the ONLY interesting thing about this, is the CUTE and SASSY little girl in the front. She was young, but way beyond her years. I liked (and still do) characters that have more AGE in them then their visual appearance. She sort of had a bit of Bart Sears or South Park look to her. She was a lot of fun to draw.

InfinityInc_fa17_coverI challenge YOU good people to look back at things you’ve drawn not to see how BAD they were… but to see HOW FAR you’ve come.

Be good
