That’s right folks…the other day I was going through some stuff in my office and found a little gem hiding in a box.
As most of you know, I don’t have a lot of original Spider-Man art lying around anymore, so it was a SURPRISE to find this in my office!!
I did this ‘Spider-Man vs Venom’ cover back in the 90’s for the FIRST printing of the ‘Amazing Spider-Man’ tradepaper.
When I used to go to conventions and sell my original work, I always thought anything that was being sold for $500 or more was TOO MUCH (no matter WHO the artist was), so MOST of my work was sold for a LOT less back in the day.
Which is why it was weird when I looked at the back of this print and saw I was selling this print for $750 I thought…WOW…what was I thinking?!
A few years back, I sold my cover art from ‘Amazing Spider-Man’ issue 328 for over $650,000!! Can you image how much THIS would go for now?!
I NEVER thought back then that I would sell one of my original pieces for that much. I was just a kid who LOVED to draw. In fact…I’m STILL a kid who loves to draw. And that’s why I got into this business.
Anyways… here’s the Periscope video I did a few weeks back with the BIG REVEAL!! It’s pretty COOL to be able to share it with you good people.
