Words of Wisdom from the Toddfather!

One of the hardest parts of being successful in the comic industry (or any art industry), is coming up with a STYLE that is visibly recognizable as YOURS. It’s one of the BIGGEST hurtles any artist faces.
 
You want people to INSTANTLY identify your work when they see it in a comic.
 
And while you want people to recognize your work, the SECOND challenge is creating a style for YOURSELF that allows you to keep your DEADLINES.
 
It’s a DAILY battle artist face…including ME! There are days where I have to put down the pen and STOP noodling my art just to meet whatever deadline I have in front of me. And inevitably, there’s ANOTHER deadline just around the corner.
