Looking back at this, you can see I had a thing for capes and cowls (and still do)… but it’s amazing to see how much Spawn has EVOLVED from the beginning.
I drew this cover in 1977 (yes…I know that was a while ago) for a 35 page comic book my dad (who was in the printing business) helped me put together.
So this is it! The FIRST Spawn ‘comic book’ cover that was NEVER published and if you look closely, you can even see some of my old notes!
Who knows what Spawn will evolve to once we hit 300 and beyond!! I don’t know about you…but I CAN’T WAIT to see.
