Nightmare Child Will Rock Gamers

New KISS Video Game Based on McFarlane Comic

May 8, 2000

There's getting ready to be a new boss on the video game aisle. Its name is KISS Psycho Circus: The Nightmare Child by Gathering of Developers.

That's cool, but what's the connection, you ask?

Well, the game is based not on the rock band, but on the KISS Elders mythos from Todd McFarlane's KISS: Psycho Circus comic book. The game, in which your goal is to fight through scores of hideous monstrosities in search of the demonic Nightmare Child, has been widely hailed by the video game press.

In fact, NextGen magazine said The Nightmare Child is "a wildly original game world (with) some of the most frenetic action seen to date."

Award-winning artist Ashley Wood teamed up with the award-winning Spawn.com art department to create the packaging for the game. Four different covers - The Celestial, The Starbearer, The Demon and The BeastKing - will be released.

The game is set for an August PC release. A Dreamcast platform game will follow a month later. The Nightmare Child also has online deathmatch capabilities.
