Rocking Out with Ozzfest Gang Hits the Road With Premiere Metal Festival

May 2, 2000

There's just something about metal. It's heavy. It's extreme. It's not for the weak of heart.

    Just like

That's why our road warriors are heading out once again with Ozzfest, the summer's heaviest, most notorious metal showcase and one of the biggest concert attractions of the season. And it doesn't hurt that the people drawn to Ozzfest are the same types that are attracted to our toys and comics.

Bands on this year's Ozzfest include Ozzy himself (naturally), Pantera, Godsmack, Static X, Incubus, Methods of Mayhem, P.O.D. and Queens of the Stone Age on the main stage. Second-stage bands include headliner Ministry, Kittie, Taproot, Primer 55, Pitchshifter, Disturbed, Crazy Town, Deadlights, Shuvel, Slaves on Dope, Reveille (through July 30) and Pumpjack (beginning Aug. 4).

The road gang will be in the house with the full-on interactive Spawn van at the following Ozzfest stops:

July 8 in Charlotte, NCAugust 14 in St. Louis, MO
July 10 in Virginia Beach, VAAugust 16 in Kansas City, MO
