Heavy rock band Korn's "Freak on a Leash" music video, directed by Todd McFarlane and produced by Terry Fitzgerald, president of Todd McFarlane Entertainment, was nominated for a Grammy Award on Jan. 4. The nomination was in the "Best Short Form Music Video" category.

This is the second Grammy nomination for McFarlane; his first was for his direction work on the Pearl Jam "Do the Evolution" music video.

"Freak on a Leash" is a mini-movie-style video combining band performance, animation and conceptual footage. The video won two MTV Video Music Awards and was named Music Video of the Year in a Spin magazine reader poll.

And, the popularity of the Korn video continues. Other recent accolades include "Freak on a Leash" being named as an Honorable Mention for "Video of the Year" in Rolling Stone Magazine's 1999 Readers Picks. From MTV, the video was listed as the #2 most requested video in Total Request Live's Top 100 for 1999 and made #30 on their list of the "100 Greatest Videos Ever Made."

"The 42nd Annual Grammy Awards Show" will be broadcast on CBS on Wednesday, Feb. 23.
