SportsPicks Packaging Evolves to a Smaller Dimension
Upcoming packaging style is more compact, earth-friendly
Friday, May 06, 2011
McFarlane’s SportsPicks will see an across-the-board packaging change later this summer, starting with our NFL 26 series. The packaging style will retain the key elements our collectors enjoy, while fitting into a smaller overall footprint which will reduce plastic use, allow more figures to display in the same retail space, and offer more damage resistance than before.
The new SportsPicks packaging isn’t dramatically different from our current packaging – the main change is the elimination of the tall “billboard” area above the blister on the front of the card. By making the overall packaging shorter, retailers will be able to stack our figures four rows high instead of three.
The seven players in NFL 26 all fit nicely into the new packaging design. Take a look at an example HERE!
It’s appositive step for McFarlane Toys – delivering better-protected toys to retail while helping to reduce our own plastic output. Stay tuned to Spawn.com for more info and images about this and other upcoming lines.
