FREE COMIC BOOK DAY NATIONWIDE, SATURDAY, MAY 3
In Phoenix, Meet Founding Members of Image Comics
Friday, April 25, 2008

On Saturday, May 3, Free Comic Book Day comes to Arizona. Atomic Comics, Arizona's largest independent comic book retailer, will join more than 3,000 comic book retailers across North America in celebration of the 7th Annual Free Comic Book Day. Comic book fans visiting any one of Atomic Comics' four Arizona locations will receive one free comic book. No purchase is necessary.

And it wouldn't be a comic event without our own Todd McFarlane. Todd, along with the other six Image founders - Jim Lee, Rob Liefeld, Jim Valentino, Marc Silvestri, Erik Larsen and Whilce Portacio - will reunite for one day to sign autographs from Noon-5pm at the Atomic store located at 1120 S. Country Club, #105, Mesa, Ariz. Todd's signing will start at 2:30pm. There will be a five-item limit for autographs. Spider-man will also make an appearance from 11am-3pm.

Comic Book Resources (CBR) will film the entire signing, and produce a time-lapse video of the event (encapsulating five hours into five minutes) and post it on their Web site, www.comicbookresources.com. CBR's Andy Khouri will provide multiple updates throughout the day, will be taking pictures and visiting with attendees as well.
