2006 is quickly turning into a great year for Spawn comic fans. 2005 gave us the milestone 150th issue of Spawn, a new Spawn collection along with the much-anticipated release of the Image Anniversary hardcover. That was just a small taste of what we have in store for 2006. In late February, some lucky fans were able to get a first look at some of these projects during Todd McFarlane's panel at the New York Comic-Con. If you missed the Con, check out our recap here. We here at Spawn.com are giving you some more goodies, as well as another first look at some of the exciting projects we have in store for 2006. Lets run down the list starting with what you will see in the near future. HELLSPAWN: THE ASHLEY WOOD COLLECTION April 2006 Featuring a new never-before-seen cover by Ashley Wood, this collection features Hellspawn issues 1-10, a cover gallery and tons of behind-the-scenes extras. With 224 pages of nothing but Hellspawn, this collection is destined to be a fan favorite. >> COVER IMAGE SPAWN COLLECTION VOLUME #2 May 2006 Following through with our newest Spawn trade collection, Volume #2 includes Spawn issues 13-33 and features the pulse-pounding art and stories of the master himself, Todd McFarlane! This trade is filled with the stunning artwork of industry favorites Dwayne Turner and Danny Miki. >> COVER IMAGE THE ART OF GREG CAPULLO July 2006 Any Spawn fan knows the name by heart. His reputation as an artist deserves nothing less than a bronze statue or national monument. Unfortunately, we don't have the permits, so we gave him a hardcover. The Art of Greg Capullo showcases this artist's extraordinary talent. From beautiful covers to interior pencils, this collection also features many never- before-seen pieces as well as a behind-the-scenes tutorial. >> PROMOTIONAL IMAGE TODD McFARLANE ARCHIVAL PRINT July 2006 The newly re-colored cover to Spawn issue 2 is being produced as an archival edition print. This limited-edition print (only 250 pieces will be produced) will be sold signed by Todd McFarlane. Another unsigned version is also being offered for sale. Both versions are printed 11"X 17" on 13" X 17" extra-thick museum- quality paper stock. >> PRINT IMAGE SPAWN: GODSLAYER August 2006 A dramatic re-imagining of Todd McFarlane's Spawn. Godslayer is a sweeping tale of fallen kingdoms, ancient curses and doomed love. Spawn: Godslayer is sure to appeal to fans of epic fantasy. Here is a brief synopsis of this new and imaginative story brought to you by the talented Brian Holguin (Spawn) and Jay Anacleto (Aria, Marvels Two). In a far distant age of a world not our own, the Old Gods are dying, slaughtered one by one by the dark blade of a mysterious, unearthly marauder... Under the protection of the goddess Llyra, the island kingdom of Endra-La, oldest and most storied of the Shrouded Isles, has avoided the cruel fate suffered by lesser kingdoms. But on the eve of a royal wedding, black sails are spotted on the horizon. Alarms are sounded and fire fills the skies. The Godslayer has come for them at last. Enjoy some new artwork that hopefully will quench your comic thirst until August. >> COVER IMAGE >> PAGE 15 >> PAGE 16 As always, stay tuned to Spawn.com for the latest information regarding these new projects, as well as many more we have in store.
