Can One of These Guys Prove Todd Wrong?
Friday, October 14, 2005

As you well know, every year we hold a contest to see if there is anyone out there who knows baseball better than self-proclaimed "psycho-fan" Todd McFarlane.

Todd issues this yearly challenge to listeners on his radio show, and we also open it up to all users. Before the current MLB season began, we asked you to predict how the 30 MLB teams would finish at the end of the 2005 regular season, in order, by division. Thousands of entries came pouring in, and our crack programming team developed a system to tabulate your picks against Todd's to see who deserves the bragging rights.

Because they tied at 16, two winners are playing it out for this year's Todd's Picks prizes. Paul Stanosheck and Jeff Neely will be going head to head. Their tiebreaker is to predict how many total runs will be scored in all of the games in the World Series. The person who chooses the closest number scores all of the 2005 McFarlane's Sports Picks baseball series -- 11, 12 and 13.

Jeff went with 42 runs and Paul went with 37. So now, we can all just wait with excitement to see who wins! Once the series is over, we will announce the winner right here in the news section.
