Friday, January 07, 2005
Super Bowl 39 is like a juggernaut headed toward Jacksonville, FL. For the third year running, McFarlane Toys will be a major part of the NFL Experience and the Super Bowl.
McFarlane Toys will attend the Topps Super Bowl XXXIX Card Show at the NFL Experience in Jacksonville. We will be present throughout the event which kicks off Saturday, Jan. 29 at 10 am at the JEA Park in downtown Jacksonville near the St. John's River, directly across from Alltel Stadium. Hours for the show are: Jan. 29, 10am-10pm; Jan. 30, 11am-8pm; Feb. 3, 3-10pm; Feb. 4, 3-10pm; Feb. 5, 10am-10pm; and Feb. 6, 10am-4pm. Please note, dates and times subject to change.
To cover the additional weekend of sales, each exclusive figure we're selling at the event will have a production run of 6,000 pieces. We will allocate a small amount of the exclusive product to sell on the first weekend, holding back the majority for the main week of the show.
McFarlane staffers will be in town to answer your questions and talk toys. We'll have two-up prototypes and packaged samples of many new and upcoming figures. And we'll have the aforementioned pair of exclusive action figures just for Super Bowl 39.
The figures?BYRON LEFTWICH, Jacksonville Jaguars QB, No. 7, will be offered in his black alternate jersey.FRED TAYLOR, Jacksonville Jaguars RB, No. 28, will be offered in his classic teal jersey. The first weekend of the show, a very limited amount of the product will be available with a one-set per person limit. Beginning Feb. 3, a two-set per person allocation will be enforced. As always, these daily limits are subject to change depending on product demand. Product availability is not guaranteed. The exclusives are $15 each or the set for $25. Cash and Visa are the only payment options at the show. To alleviate lines, we will have two separate lines, one for cash and the other for credit. We urge cash sales if possible, as that process is much, much faster.
The NFL Experience is an interactive theme park offering games, displays and entertainment attractions. Tickets are $15 adults and $10 children 12 and under. For more information about the Super Bowl, visit www.superbowl.com.
