Monsters, Dragons and Soldiers Figure Series Discussed
Friday, September 17, 2004

As we announced in the most recent online ToyFest update -- where we gave you the complete figure announcements for the first half of 2005 -- McFarlane Toys has several in-house toy series we're working on.

Today, we've got some additional information on three of these upcoming 2005 lines.

The first is the fourth incarnation of our infamous McFarlane's Monsters. The theme for this line is McFarlane's Monsters 4: Twisted Fairy Tales. Monsters 4 will be a collection of your favorite childhood fairy tales and nursery rhymes brought to life in an all-new and terrifying fashion. The innocence of some of the world's most well-known stories filtered through the mind of Todd McFarlane and reborn as nightmarish visions from the depths of human imagination. We're not yet prepared to say which tales we'll be reinterpreting. We will, however, share that info as soon as it's available. Tentative release date: May 2005.

Our upcoming Dragons line -- tentatively titled McFarlane's Dragons: Quest for the Lost King -- is set for a January release. This line is our interpretation of a larger Dragon mythos and will be an ongoing series. The figures are in 6-inch scale and will include quite a bit of Dragon Clan mythology both on the package and in more detail here on Look for much more on this line very soon.

Finally, we've got the first in an ongoing McFarlane's Soldiers line scheduled for an April 2005 release. These will be realistic modern-day soldier action figures, heavily detailed and in 6-inch scale. More details and specifics are coming soon.
