It's been a long time coming, but the partnership statue between McFarlane Toys and Swiss surrealist H.R. Giger is finally heading to stores. The statue is Li II, a three-dimensional representation of one of Giger's most famous paintings.

McFarlane Toys worked closely with Giger to create this limited-edition three-dimensional sculpture of Giger's classic Li II painting. Giger's biomechanical dreamscapes formed the cornerstone of his fame and his most famous book, Necronomicon, served as the visual inspiration for director Ridley Scott's movie Alien. To learn more about the artist, visit HRGigerMuseum.com.

The sculpture itself is tremendously and painstakingly detailed in the monochromatic color scheme of the original painting. It stands 9.75 inches tall and is 6 inches wide. This will be released in a box rather than a clamshell; both the sculpture and the packaging have been approved by the artist.

This Li II sculpture will be released in limited quantities to specialty retailers. Look for it on store shelves in late October.
