McFARLANE TOYS ANNOUNCES NEW 3-INCH TOY PROGRAM
McFarlane's Sports Picks Figures In Small-Scale Two-Packs

McFarlane Toys is proud to announce the upcoming release of its newest product line: McFarlane's Sports Picks figures in 3-inch scale.

This is an entirely new venture for McFarlane Toys -- a follow-up to our successful 6-inch-scale figures -- featuring a product designed to appeal to a younger demographic. The 3-inch figures will be offered as two-packs in much smaller clamshell packaging (approximately 9.5 inches tall by 4.75 inches wide). Of course, the price point will be lower, approximately $6-$7 MSRP for each two-pack.

The 3-inch lines will be more of a year-round program as opposed to our standard-scale figures. As such, we don't anticipate producing traditional series; we'll simply refresh the line as it moves through retail. At this stage, all 3-inch figures are scaled-down versions of figures previously released in standard scale.

The 3-inch program is set to launch in early 2004. The first line will be NBA followed shortly by NHL. Our goal is to have all four sports represented in our 3-inch lines.

Here's the lineup for the NBA 3-inch two-packs, set for a January release:

• Ben Wallace, Detroit Pistons F/C, No. 3 and Jason Kidd, New Jersey Nets G, No. 5
