Todd McFarlane and TME President Terry Fitzgerald were present Sunday, June 22, at the 2003 Much Music Video Awards ceremony live from Toronto, Ontario.

The video they respectively directed and produced for Canada's premiere hip-hop act Swollen Members was nominated for four Much Music awards. The video for the song "Breath" took home the award for Best Rap Video, the first Much award for McFarlane and Fitzgerald. Previous collaborations on videos for the bands Korn and Pearl Jam netted two Grammy Award nominations with one win, as well as eight MTV Video Awards nods and two wins.

Much Music is Canada's equivalent to the MTV network and is seen in more than 85 percent of all Canadian households.

"We enjoyed working with Mad Child, Prevail, Moka Only and Rob the Viking on this video and are proud to have it receive as much praise as it has within the music community," said Fitzgerald to national media shortly after winning the award. "The group continues to impress me with their kickass music, enthusiasm on stage and great love of their fans. We are more than proud to be a part of the Battle Axe family."

Fitzgerald also commented, "This hopefully will be the start of a long-term relationship with a great organization, (in reference to Swollen Members' Battle Axe Records), and keep your eyes open later this year for something fresh from us as a whole."

McFarlane added, "Mad reminds me of me. He's a young guy doing his own thing as he sees fit," a clear reference to the fact Battle Axe is an independent record label founded by Mad Child many years ago, much like Todd co-founding Image Comics in 1992.
