McFarlane Toys celebrates the upcoming release of our long-delayed NHL 10 series. This line was originally slated to arrive in stores this February, but the long lockout and eventual cancellation of the NHL season caused us to delay the shipment of the series. Hockey fans have been treated to labor peace this month, followed by an unprecedented flurry of trades and free agent signings. On top of all that excitement, we are proud to announce that NHL 10 will find its way to stores this October. This line features a strong mix of future Hall-of-Famers and young talents as well -- in case your memory has slipped during the delay, let's get reacquainted with NHL 10:

JAROMIR JAGR 2, New York Rangers RW, No. 68: The new CBA has installed a salary cap to help level the playing field in the NHL, and the resulting exodus from New York leaves Jagr as the star attraction on Broadway. The "new NHL" may have led some of his teammates out the door, but it's also provided rule changes that should benefit speedy skill players like Jagr.

RICK NASH, Columbus Blue Jackets LW, No. 61: When we last left the NHL, a trio of players tied for the league lead in goals with 41, including Nash -- who opened eyes league-wide by becoming a top-flight scoring threat at the age of 19! Now 21, Nash is ready to continue his assault on opposing defenses and also able to go out and celebrate with his teammates after a win...

JAROME IGINLA 2, Calgary Flames RW, No. 12: Many NHL teams parted with longtime favorites in recent weeks, reorganizing and reprioritizing their rosters under the new salary cap. Calgary wasted no time re-signing their captain to a new three-year contract. With the additions of Tony Amonte and Darren McCarty, the Flames are poised for another run into the Stanley Cup Finals.

MARTIN ST. LOUIS, Tampa Bay Lightning RW, No. 26: The defending NHL champs will lean heavily on their scorers this season, having lost brilliant goaltender Nikolai Khabibulin to free agency. St. Louis brings back the exciting style of hockey that led the league in assists and points in 2003-04. With the removal of the red line, it just opens up more options for the game's best passer. The sound you're hearing is goalies sobbing softly at this notion...

ROBERT LANG, Detroit Red Wings C, No. 20: The Red Wings barely got used to having Robert Lang in uniform before an injury put him on the shelf. Lang returned for the playoffs and played well, leaving Detroit fans hungry to see what the Czech playmaker can accomplish in a full season.

JOE THORNTON 2, Boston Bruins C, No. 19: The Bruins were big players in NHL free agency this month, signing Brian Leetch, Alex Zhamnov and Shawn McEachern while trading for Brad Isbister. Joe Thornton believes in Boston too - signing a new three-year contract to lead the new-look Bruins into the much-improved Eastern Conference.

DAVID AEBISCHER, Colorado Avalanche G, No. 1: The upcoming season heralds the passing of the torch in the Mile High City. Avalanche stalwarts Peter Forsberg and Adam Foote have moved on to other teams, leaving Captain Joe Sakic to bridge the gap to a new era of Colorado hockey. Goalie David Aebischer (along with Alex Tanguay and Milan Hejduk) are the new stars -- all ready to uphold the high standards the Avs fans are accustomed to. In his first season as the starting goaltender, Aebischer put up impressive numbers -- finshing 7th in the league in wins (32), 9th in Goal-Against-Average (2.09), and 6th in save percentage (.924).

JOSE THEODORE 2, Montreal Canadiens G, No. 60: Theodore scared fans with a sub-par year following his brilliant Vezina-winning season of 2001-02, but his last season was a vindication of sorts -- returning to his steady play and leading Montreal back into the NHL Playoffs. With a young team behind him, the 28-year-old netminder has become one of the veteran leaders of his storied franchise. Theodore's strong play in goal is the best reason Montreal fans are optimistic about the upcoming season.

As with all our hockey lines, each figure comes with authentic accessories and a custom base. Look for NHL 10 in North American stores (and available online) this October!
