News from Hollywood
Friday, April 3, 2009

Who’s doing what to whom in Hollywood? We’ll tell you what we know. Or at least what we’ve read.

Madonna gets shot down. Seth Rogen hates kids. Octomom Nadya Suleman considers a career change.

This week, Madonna flew her broom over Malawi, screeching, “I’ll get you, my pretty!” hoping to snatch up another orphan to join her adopted son, David Banda. But unexpectedly, her attempt to adopt three-year-old Chifundo "Mercy" James got the kibosh from a Malawi judge. Usmagazine.com reports:

The judge cited requirements that adoptive parents reside in the country for 18 to 24 months. Judge Esme Chombo had been expected to sign off on the adoption at Lilongwe High Court.

"We support her adoption process," Information Minister Patricia Kaliati said yesterday. "Madonna's been good to us. She's supporting over 25,000 orphans in this country, and she's proved she can take care of David."

On the other hand, you couldn’t give Seth Rogen an orphan. WENN reports that he hates children and is proud of it.

Seth Rogen is relieved his promotional duties for animated film Monsters vs. Aliens are over - because he no longer has to hide his hatred of children.

The 26-year-old comedian cringes at the thought of having his own kids, and admits he wasn't impressed when his adult fans started bringing their tots to his movie screenings and meet-and-greets - because he can't relate to them.

He muses, "Kids like me but when they meet me they're horrified by me... These guys bring their kids (to screenings) and I kind of resent them. To me it's kind of a sacrilegious thing and the kid would cry. It was horrible...

"Now that the movie's out and I don't have to promote it anymore, I can say that I hate children. It's out, it's made $60 million. I can say it: I hate kids. If no kid ever came up to me, I would be more than happy."

And no discussion of children would be complete without news of Octomom, Nadya Suleman, who has been offered a job, according to The National Enquirer (via Celebitchy.com).

Octomom Nadya Suleman is seriously reconsidering an offer to appear in a porn movie for $1 million, the Enquirer has learned exclusively.

Nadya is so desperate for cash she plans to reopen talks with a major porn production company, say sources.

The 33 year-old single mom had originally turned down the big bucks bait from Vivid Entertainment. But corporate sponsors have stayed away from Nadya as public reaction to her has been mixed. As the Enquirer revealed last week, when Nadya was 18, she took a short-lived job as a stripper. Now we’ve learned she is weighing a deal to go topless in a porn production - although she draws the line at baring all or doing sex scenes.
